Eastwood Volunteer Bureau (EVB), is a local charity, who offer transport, befriending and furniture schemes and who recruit volunteers for the schemes.


Description of service and support

Services include:

The collection and delivery of unwanted furniture to local people;

A voluntary transport scheme for the people of the North Broxtowe area who are unable to use public transport. There is a charge of 45p per mile and a £1 booking fee for each trip for transport clients;

Befriending for older people who are on their own or who have a visual impairment;

Training courses can be arranged for volunteers, management committee and local groups.
