Russell House, located near the centre of Newark on Trent, provides high quality accommodation and support for up to 15 single homeless people in the form of self-contained studio flats.
Description of service and support
Russell House provides 15 self contained units of temporary self-catering accommodation for single homeless people, aged 16+ with a local connection to Newark and who have support needs that make it difficult for them to attain and maintain their own homes successfully.  The units are furnished with the basic equipment needed for residents to live semi-independently.  This includes a bed, wardrobe, desk, two ringed hob, microwave, pots, pans and cutlery.  Bedding is also provided and can be taken when the resident moves into their own accommodation.  There are 8 members of staff. 

Staff provide residents with the support and advice they need to address their problems and plan positively for the future. Outside links to life-enhancing training, education and volunteering opportunities are provided. Pets are not allowed.

A client's next step would be likely to be move on accommodation at The Old Diary (Framework HA) or directly into their own tenancy with the local authority, housing association or private let.
