The Friary offers a wide range of advice, support and health services to disadvantaged people over the age of 16, in and around the Nottingham area.

Description of service and support

Drop-in facility for homeless, vulnerably housed and long-term unemployed people. Weekly sessions with nurse, mental health support, GP surgery, therapeutic massages, employability drop-in, housing and welfare advice. Food, toiletries, clothing available and small household items for those newly re-settled. In addition to the above we have a tenancy support service which operates as part of the Key Support consortium.  The service has 2 full time and 7 part time members of staff plus 150 volunteers.

Client group: All local people who are homeless, living in temporary accommodation and/or long-term unemployed.
Referral: Individuals from our target group are welcome to make direct contact with the Friary, no appointment or referral is necessary to access the drop-in facility.
Public transport: Bus: 5 stops on Musters Rd by the centre. 6, 8, 9, stop outside Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, 5 mins walk from centre.
