Description: The service works with people in Nottingham City who are at risk of becoming homeless. It provides support around housing, benefits and debts. Homelessness Prevention Service uses it experience and expertise to ensure people do not become homeless as a result of preventable, treatable problems. 

Description of service and support

Each individual who is taken onto the service will be allocated their own support worker who will meet them at an agreed location, which could be their home. The support worker can assist with benefit claims, reducing debt and housing issues. They can also refer to other services when appropriate. The service has approximately 20 staff and there are no charges to service users.
