A free and confidential service available to families living in Nottingham.  It aims to prevent homelessness and avoid the damaging effects on families, children and communities.  It is a service designed to enable individuals to gain skills and confidence to successfully sustain their accommodation.

Description of service and support

Support provided includes:
 - Help finding and keeping accommodation and resettling into a new home;
 - Help with understanding housing rights and responsibilities;
 - Advice and guidance on benefit payments and debt, rent or mortgage arrears;
 - Help accessing services and social activities in the community;
 - Advice about maintaining utility services;
 - Advice with neighbour disputes;
 - Guidance in developing independent life skills e.g. budgeting and living safely at home;
 - Help in establishing and maintaining contact with other support organisations;
 - Advice about cultural and religious needs.
