The Old Vicarage provides accommodation for young or expectant mothers aged between 16 and 25 who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Accommodation is offered in 7 self-contained flats, typically for up to 12 months

Description of service and support

All of the flats are large, self-contained and have a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living room. The residents cook meals for themselves and their children, although many of the residents get together to share the cooking. The Old Vicarage has 3 memnbers of staff with staff cover being between 09.00 and 17.30.

Staff are fully trained to help residents get settled in, apply for benefits and deal with the other arrangements they may need to make. They are also there to support residents emotionally. Each service user will be allocated a key worker who will meet with residents on a regular basis to make sure they are receiving the support they need.

The aim is for clients to move on their own accommodation either council or private rent.
