Nottinghamshire Rape Crisis Centre supports survivors of rape and childhood sexual abuse.  They provide a telephone helpline, face-to-face counselling service (for females aged 13+) and practical help such as accompanying clients to police stations, clinics and courts. They also offer a support to men via the Helpline and ISVA service. 

Description of service and support

ISVA Service (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) provides support to both women and men from the age of 13+ who have experienced sexual violence. We provide advice and support regarding matters such as reporting to the Police, the Court process, attending the GU clinic, financial and housing matters, etc. 

Our staff  consists of :
2 qualified & accredited counsellors;
2 qualified ISVAs;
2 ISVAs;
20 volunteer support workers;
2 admin staff.

Client group: Telephone Helpline, ISVA Service and face to face counselling for women and girls aged 13+ who are survivors of rape and/or childhood sexual assault. Men who are survivors of rape and/or childhood sexual assault may access the Telephone Helpline and ISVA Service.
