Mansfield CAB

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice.

Description of service and support

We help people to resolve the problems they face by providing them with their legal rights and responsibilities. We help identify possible options and consequences of those options. We may support clients where there is a need in making telephone calls, writing letters, filling out claim forms and guiding through legal processes. We do not provide legal representation.

Open to all for a basic ‘Gateway’ assessment and for full comprehensive advice service if service user is resident of Mansfield District Council. Mansfield CAB also have in-house specialist advisers in debt and welfare benefits.

The Drop-in is open four days a week as detailed below, after 1:00pm it operates as an information point only. We are open to all for a basic ‘Gateway’ assessment and for full comprehensive advice service, if the service user is a resident of Mansfield District Council.
