Hughendon Lodge - Framework HA

Hughendon Lodge provides accommodation and support for people with mental health difficulties. The project has 16 staff and aims to help residents move on to live in a more independent setting with continued outreach provision. The service also manages a number of move-on flats (STAR Wells Road) which offer a lower level of support to clients.  Hughendon Lodge works in partnership with Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust.

Description of service and support

All rooms have en-suite shower facilities and are furnished with a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, table and chair. Cooking facilities are provided in all rooms. There is a communal lounge and television room, and a quiet relaxation conservatory. Hughendon Lodge have a cafe where people can buy their meals on a daily basis. People can smoke in their own rooms and in the smoking shelter provided. No dogs are allowed, but other small animals and birds are considered.

After a period at Hughendon Lodge people move into their own tenancies, mainly in the local area. People can continue to access the Lodge on a 24 hr basis.

What are the restrictions on overnight guests? There are no restrictions on overnight guests, however these guests are the responsibility of the service user.

People who have severe mental health problems and who otherwise would spend long periods of time in acute hospital settings.
All referrals are to be made by the service users Care Co-Ordinator and should be accompanied by an up to date risk assessment and CPA documentation.
